| Talking Points Memo has a story about a big RNC fundraiser headlined by the big story everybody wants to see: the enigmatic Sarah Palin. The fundraiser will be in Silicon Valley at the home of Tom Siebel.
If that name sounds familiar, Siebel, it's because Tom Siebel is the cousin of new Mrs. Gavin Newsom, Jennifer Siebel. Somehow, I'm guessing Gavin wasn't invited to this soiree, especially after the latest appearances on Larry King where he went after Palin and McCain.
At any rate, while Palin is going around talking about saving taxpayers money on the bridge to nowhere (but keeping the money), she's also billing the State of Alaska for per diem despite the fact that she was staying at home. Stay Classy, Sarah Palin.
By the by, $1,000 gets you in the door, $2,500 gets you a McCain lapel pin, and $50,000 gets you 3 pictures with the spry Alaskan Governor. The money apparently goes to the CRP, the RNC, and to pay for McCain's legal bills. He might need those laywers with Palin on the ticket. |
