{"id":10075,"date":"2009-09-15T00:10:08","date_gmt":"2009-09-15T00:10:08","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-09-15T00:10:08","modified_gmt":"2009-09-15T00:10:08","slug":"does-brian-bilbray-support-the-south-carolina-values-of-joe-wilson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/calitics.com\/index.php\/2009\/09\/15\/does-brian-bilbray-support-the-south-carolina-values-of-joe-wilson\/","title":{"rendered":"Does Brian Bilbray support the South Carolina values of Joe Wilson?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>That&#8217;s a question that Brian Bilbray&#8217;s Democratic challengers should be asking. &nbsp;Congressman Joe Wilson&#8211;who, in an erroneous and indecorous fit of pique, screamed &#8220;You Lie!&#8221; during Obama&#8217;s joint session of Congress&#8211;really likes to <a href=\"http:\/\/query.nictusa.com\/cgi-bin\/com_supopp\/C00376756\/\">spread the cash around<\/a> under the name of the Carolina Majority PAC&#8211;which <a href=\"http:\/\/harpers.org\/archive\/2009\/09\/hbc-90005682\">he controls.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The FEC filings show that Joe Wilson&#8217;s PAC has an extensive list of beneficiaries, but there&#8217;s one that stands out: in the 2006 cycle, the Carolina Majority PAC donated a cool $5,000 to the re-election campaign of Brian Bilbray.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I don&#8217;t know about you, but I think that most people in North San Diego County wouldn&#8217;t take political money from someone who loves the confederate flag and is a <a href=\"http:\/\/crooksandliars.com\/david-neiwert\/obama-heckler-joe-wilson-member-neo\">proud member<\/a> of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. &nbsp;Hell, when George Allen decided he wanted to play that game, he packed up from SoCal and brought his cowboy boots and confederate flag pin to Charlottesville.<\/p>\n<p>So the question for Brian Bilbray is, does he support confederate South Carolina values of Congressman Joe Wilson?
