He <a href=\"http:\/\/help.twitter.com\/index.php?pg=kb.page&#038;id=75\">twittered his daughter&#8217;s birth<\/a>, and writes frequently at Huffington Post, ARSTechnica, Daily Kos, and even Calitics on occasion.<\/p>\n<p>But, perhaps I got that wrong, because, you know, blogs are often wrong:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;That&#8217;s just factually incorrect,&#8221; Newsom said Friday following an unrelated press conference in City Hall. &#8220;Though blogs often are.&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfexaminer.com\/opinion\/blogs\/under-the-dome\/Newsom-I-am-not-pressuring-Muni-63357872.html\">SF Examiner 10\/4\/09<\/a>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The knock on Gavin Newsom has always been that he doesn&#8217;t take criticism very well. And that is exactly what this was about. &nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/sf.streetsblog.org\/2009\/10\/05\/newsom-parking-meter-story-is-not-a-false-controversy\/comment-page-1\/\">StreetsBlog had published a story<\/a> saying that Newsom was putting his finger on the scale of whether to increase parking meter hours. In response to a question at a press conference, we got the above answer.<\/p>\n<p>As something of an epilogue, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/c\/a\/2009\/10\/04\/BAC31A09HR.DTL&#038;feed=rss.matierandross\">Matier and Ross published a very similar story on Monday<\/a>. I wonder what the response to a question concerning that article will be.
