Last week, CalBuzz <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/static\/weblogs\/capitolalertlatest\/026684.html\">called for him to be fired<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/weblog.signonsandiego.com\/weblogs\/afb\/archives\/036899.html\">the Union-Trib compared this to the ACORN hidden camera incident<\/a>. Now, as far as ACORN goes, it&#8217;s quite a different thing to record an on-the-record call between a press flack and a reporter than secretly taping somebody who has no idea that the conversation will ever be heard from again. <b>UPDATE<\/b>: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/static\/weblogs\/capitolalertlatest\/026727.html\">Gerber has resigned<\/a> today.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 For some reason, the media still seems intent on finding some sort of race in CA-10, where there really isn&#8217;t one. Today, Joe Garofoli <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/c\/a\/2009\/11\/02\/BAVC1ADATC.DTL\">talks turnout<\/a>. The GOP will get a favorable turnout model as it is a boring special election. Nonetheless, Garamendi will win this one by double digits.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Joel Fox <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxandhoundsdaily.com\/blog\/tony-quinn\/5691-a-campaign-finance-loophole-leads-allegations-money-laundering\">takes a look at Asm. Anderson&#8217;s sketchy money transfers<\/a>. &nbsp;He hates Prop 34, which limits contributions, sort of. It isn&#8217;t hard to dislike, but the fact is that there isn&#8217;t a wall that money can&#8217;t find a way to flow around. Only a real clean money system with government funded campaigns will stem this tide.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The lobbyist at the center of the media storm with the former Asm. Duvall story is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/capitolandcalifornia\/story\/2300454.html\">not pleased about the whole situation<\/a>. She claims that it was just Duvall making everything up. Hmm&#8230;Republicans lying&#8230;who&#8217;d of thunk?<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Looks like CoCo County Supervisors are getting ready to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.contracostatimes.com\/news\/ci_13690871?source=rss\">approve a casino on the Richmond waterfront<\/a>.
