margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-left: 40px; border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-style: none; padding: 0px\">\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #333333\" class=\"Apple-style-span\">California gets a &ldquo;D+&rdquo; when it comes to openness about government spending, according to&nbsp;<em><a style=\"color: #0000cc\" href=\"https:\/\/www.calpirg.org\/home\/reports\/report-archives\/more-reports\/more-reports\/following-the-money-2011--how-the-50-states-rate-in-providing-online-access-to-government-spending-data\" target=\"_blank\">Following the Money 2011: How the&nbsp;States Rank on Providing Online Access to Government Spending Data<\/a><\/em><span style=\"color: black\">, the second annual report of its kind by&nbsp;<\/span>the California Public Interest Research Group (CALPIRG). <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calpirg.org\/follow-the-money-map\" target=\"_blank\">Included with the report is an interactive online tool<\/a><span>that allows users to view what California is doing best and worst compared to other states&rsquo; transparency practices.<\/span>&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"border-collapse: collapse; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; color: #000000\" class=\"Apple-style-span\"><br \/>&ldquo;If California&rsquo;s look hard enough at the budget voted on today they&rsquo;ll notice some serious holes in their ability to follow the money,&rdquo;
