{"id":8480,"date":"2009-04-08T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-04-08T04:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-04-08T02:57:24","modified_gmt":"2009-04-08T02:57:24","slug":"tuesday-47-open-thread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/calitics.com\/index.php\/2009\/04\/08\/tuesday-47-open-thread\/","title":{"rendered":"Tuesday 4\/7 Open Thread"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s spring break in Sacramento, so there&#8217;s not much left to report, but here&#8217;s a little&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 It was mentioned before, but John Garamendi is reportedly <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibabuzz.com\/politics\/2009\/04\/03\/garamendi-checking-out-cd10-race\/\">&#8220;checking out&#8221;<\/a> the CA-10 race, which to me makes perfect sense. &nbsp;Garamendi&#8217;s knowledge base and his experience in Washington would probably make him an excellent Congressman. &nbsp;However, for the moment Garamendi is still a candidate for Governor, and he recently hired <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/static\/weblogs\/capitolalertlatest\/021319.html?mi_rss=Capitol%20Alert\">former liberal talk radio host Peter B.
