The state is <a href=http:\/\/www.fresnobee.com\/local\/story\/1347285.html>making a big issue of water conservation<\/a>. Santa Rosa is running out of water, so they&#8217;ll be <a href=http:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/20090421\/articles\/904219873>hitting big users hard<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A Lancaster facility is aiming to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/local\/la-me-biofuels22-2009apr22,0,3486052.story?track=rss\">make fuel from trash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 We&#8217;ve been focusing on Jane Harman, but <a href=\"http:\/\/calbuzzer.blogspot.com\/2009\/04\/todays-must-read-washtimes-probes.html\">DiFi has some &#8216;splainin to do<\/a> in her own right.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"213\" height=\"172\" align=right><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/dHfayI7lV9o&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><\/object>\u2022 The one-day <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/1095\/story\/1801987.html\">legislature pay hike story<\/a> just proves once again that Sacramento doesn&#8217;t do politics very well. &nbsp;Clearly the public was primed to erupt at any talk of pay increases for legislative staff in the midst of this recession. &nbsp;I don&#8217;t agree that you have to hold people hostage (has every pay raise in the state in every industry been frozen?), but those are the political realities. &nbsp;Karen Bass and the legislature ignored those realities in the midst of a special election, which speaks very poorly on their political acumen. &nbsp;Speaker Bass&#8217; speech to the right.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Greg Lucas gets an <a href=\"http:\/\/californiascapitol.com\/blog\/?p=350\">interview with outgoing LA City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo<\/a>.
