Note to GOP, that is the job of a union, to look out for their members.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Following up on <a href=\"https:\/\/calitics.com\/diary\/8750\/those-tied-hands-loosen-somewhat-for-corporate-cash\">Dave&#8217;s post<\/a>, Matier and Ross point out that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/c\/a\/2009\/05\/11\/BA8517HE0G.DTL&#038;feed=rss.matierandross\">sports teams are donating<\/a> because the package doesn&#8217;t tax services, like, say, sports tickets. <i>Note: I (Brian) work on the No on 1A campaign.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Speaking of the special, the good folks over at CalBuzz provide their take on why &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/calbuzzer.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/why-voters-really-really-hate-budget.html\">voters really, really hate the budget props<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 I&#8217;m excited about &#8220;Meg Whitman Week,&#8221; coined by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/chris-kelly\/meg-whitman-week---monday_b_201413.html\">HuffPo blogger and Bill Maher writer Chris Kelly<\/a>. &nbsp;In this installment, we learn that Whitman uses the word &#8220;actually&#8221; a lot, actually. &nbsp;She still needs media training. &nbsp;Actually.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Elected officials and other leaders on the North Coast are intrigued with the news that Arnold wants to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/article\/20090510\/articles\/905109924\">debate the legalization of marijuana<\/a>.
