{"id":8858,"date":"2009-05-14T03:00:00","date_gmt":"2009-05-14T03:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2009-05-14T02:30:18","modified_gmt":"2009-05-14T02:30:18","slug":"ca03-gary-davis-announces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/calitics.com\/index.php\/2009\/05\/14\/ca03-gary-davis-announces\/","title":{"rendered":"CA-03: Gary Davis Announces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Randy Bayne <a href=\"http:\/\/bayneweb.com\/blog\/archives\/4011\">reports<\/a> that Gary Davis, a member of the Elk Grove City Council, has announced that he will run against Dan Lungren in CA-03. &nbsp;He&#8217;s unveiled an official campaign website named <a href=\"http:\/\/www.davisbeatslungren.com\/\">Davis Beats Lungren<\/a>, which certainly displays confidence. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Davis also works as the Political Director for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edvoice.org\/\">EdVoice<\/a> in addition to serving on the Elk Grove City Council, and was a legislative director for Darrell Steinberg when he served in the State Assembly. &nbsp;EdVoice has lined up on the &#8220;reformer&#8221;
