Just another Twitter rumor gone awry.  The Court <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courtinfo.ca.gov\/courts\/supreme\/#forthcoming\">confirmed today<\/a> that no opinion will be filed tomorrow. <\/p>\n<p> The internets have been abuzz with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.examiner.com\/x-358-SF-City-Hall-Examiner~y2009m5d19-Prop-8-Ruling-Will-Come-Out-Soon-Its-Prediction-Time\">supposedly<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tips-q.com\/941378-prop-8-decision-tomorrow\">confirmed<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.indybay.org\/newsitems\/2009\/05\/20\/18596200.php\">rumors<\/a> that the Court told various police departments that the opinion would be announced tomorrow.  I think what added fuel to these rumors was that San Francisco police are preparing for the 30th anniversary of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/White_Night_Riots\">White Night Riots<\/a>, the riots that happened after the jury found Harvey Milk&#39;s assassin guilty of only manslaughter, not first-degree murder.  People mistakenly assumed that the delivery of barricades to the Castro is related to prop 8.<\/p>\n<p>  We might hear on Friday that an opinion will be filed Tuesday.  The only other options are for filing next Thursday or on Monday, June 1st.
