Hmm, well, here are some links:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 (Soon to be?) Former Alaska Governor Sarah <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/blogs\/nov05election\/detail?blogid=14&#038;entry_id=43948\">Palin is coming to SoCal<\/a>. If you are a member of the press and want to come, well, fugedaboudit.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Apparently SF Supervisor Michaela Alioto-Pier is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/static\/weblogs\/capitolalertlatest\/024015.html?mi_rss=Capitol%20Alert\">running for insurance commissioner<\/a>. The timing of this is certainly interesting, as last week <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fogcityjournal.com\/wordpress\/2009\/07\/16\/latest-alioto-pier-rumor-triggers-rally-for-dave-jones\/\">a slew of SF politicos endorsed Asm. Dave Jones<\/a>. Other than her one successful election as an incumbent, she&#8217;s aslo been defeated in two attempts at Secretary of State and a run at CA-01 against Mike Thompson.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibabuzz.com\/politics\/2009\/07\/20\/cd10-williamson-may-have-to-run-as-write-in\/\">Marianne Williamson wasn&#8217;t able to make it onto the ballot<\/a> for the CA-10 special election. The spiritual advisor to Oprah will now have to try to run as a write-in candidate. As she has no party affiliation, it is unclear how this will all work with the run-off.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/la-fi-banks20-2009jul20,0,7301936.story?track=rss\">FDIC took over some banks in Southern California<\/a> over the weekend: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vineyardbank.com\/Primary\/Home.aspx\">Vineyard Bank<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.temvalbank.com\/\">Temecula Valley Bank<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently there was something to do with a budget today?
