But now we&#8217;re back on the open thread saddle. Here we go:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 SF City Attorney Dennis Herrera has confirmed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfcityattorney.org\/index.aspx?page=182\">Supervisor Chris Daly actually lives in his district<\/a>. There was a big brouhaha in SF about this because Daly bought two houses out in Fairfield in Solano County, and his wife and children moved out there to be close to family. Everybody had a position on this, and there is a lot of spilled pixels. But, for the time being, it&#8217;s just more grist for the Daly mill.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Our own David Dayen was the <a href=\"http:\/\/mobileapptitude.com\/?p=788\">winner of the CREDO Mobile Netroots award<\/a> for best state blogger. &nbsp;Thanks to everybody who tolerated my (Brian) annoying posts, tweets and other reminders to vote for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The LA Times <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/la-ed-prop8-17-2009aug17,0,4442175.story\">weighs in on the push to repeal Prop 8<\/a>. &nbsp;Back in 2008, they opposed Prop 8, and they&#8217;d like to see it repealed. &nbsp;However, like EQCA, they&#8217;re a cautious bunch, and argue that the campaign wait for 2012.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/blogs\/nov05election\/detail?blogid=14&#038;entry_id=45625\">Lt. Gov John Garamendi on the who and what of replacing him<\/a> if he&#8217;s elected in the CA-10.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Bad News section. Sorry to do this, but let&#8217;s just muddle through it quickly. &nbsp;First, there&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/la-fi-ports17-2009aug17,0,2424705.story?track=rss\">bad economic forecasts for the SoCal Ports<\/a>. Then you have the fact that the last car plant in California, NUMMI, is very likely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/la-fi-nummi17-2009aug17,0,2630497.story?track=rss\">looking at closure soon<\/a>.
