Activism for the Middle Class: Vigil for the Employee Free Choice Act

This afternoon and into tomorrow, labor and its allies will be hosting candlelight vigils in support of the Employee Free Choice Act, a federal bill that would boost the economy by giving workers a fair chance to bargain collectively with their employers for better wages and benefits. While there, folks will write letters, make phone calls and mail stories about the need to reform labor law to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, a past co-sponsor of the bill, urging her to renew her support.

Events will be held in San Diego, Los Angeles, Fresno, San Francisco and Sacramento. Over the flip, you’ll find all the specifics for the events.  If anybody has photos please post them in the comments, I’ll do my best to post a picture or two later today from the SF event.
