Dan Savage, after reading about suicide after suicide, started the “It Gets Better Project“. Today, he got the “big get”, by President Obama recording a message. The problem is tragic, but we can do so much more to prevent this needless loss of young lives.

but it would have if Democrats had kept their promises and stopped persecuting gay folks. Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and the Defense of Marriage bill, both signed by Democratic presidents, send powerful messages out to society that it’s OK to discriminate against, persecute, and hate gay Americans. These laws legitimate and validate bullying. If Clinton had done his job ethically, 20 years ago, this would all be behind us, there would be no need for an “It gets better project”, no gay teen suicides and martyrs, no crocodile tears from Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Obama and the Democratic Party establishment. PLEASE: enough of your BS.
Nobody who has tried to keep a relationship together without marriage, tried to have bilogical children on a low salary or had to contend with the glass ceiling barring a good salary….no one thinks it gets better. The ache just gets worse.
