* This discussion pretty much happens every cycle, but will Loretta Sanchez finally make that governor bid that she has had an account for for a few years now?

* Rod Wright is looking at sports books, suggesting that they would be one way of bringing in a quick billion.

* George Schultz, former Sec. of State under President Reagan, thinks California should reject Prop 23 and continue to fight climate change.

* Wow. Only 2 states allow districts to shorten school years to less than 180 days, California and Utah. This will come back to haunt the state.

  1. I can’t wait to see which right wing wacko is going to be the first to call a member of Saint Ronald’s cabinet a RINO !  Fiorina perhaps ?

It shows how off the charts the present day GOP is when within two days Dave Stockman , Reagan’s Budget Director , blamed the GOP for today’s economic mess (and wanting to extend the Bush tax cuts) …NY TIMES OP-ED on Sunday…and now Schultz says we should fight Prop 23. When St. Ronald’s cabinet starts disagreeing with your policies, you are off the wall.

  2. volunteered to work the extra 5 days and take a pay cut instead for this coming year because they thought that time was so important. They know they’ll be teaching this batch of kids for the long term and they really went the extra mile to get us through what we all hope and assume will be a short term funding catastrophe.

  3. He was on KTLA 5 today in Los Angeles CA, Talking about Prop 8 and the fact that He’s not against Gay marriage, Plus He talked about the Problem with Elected officials Salaries in regards to the city of Bell and about pensions like Robert Rizzos insane pension and the fact that pensions should be capped, etc. He didn’t mention HSR of course, But then no one asked about that and what He thinks about It.
