  1. Some more details on the Ashburn thing.

    Sources tell CBS13 a state senator from Southern California was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after leaving Faces, a gay nightclub in midtown Sacramento, early Wednesday morning… A male passenger, who was not identified as a lawmaker, was also in the car but was not detained.

    Incidentally, poking around google for a few minutes one quickly finds a lot of stuff about a rally Sen. Ashburn cohosted in in 2005 for the Traditional Values Coalition in support of a sort of proto-Prop 8 constitutional amendment which would have banned not only same-sex marriage but also domestic partnerships or any marriage-like benefits. Classy.
